Iron your lingerie skirt

Determine the length of the skirt. Go for short or knee length for daytime wear or full length for the evening. Allow an additional inch on the bottom for a hem and an inch on the top to encase the elastic or drawstring.

Adhesive gel works like a streamlined body tape by securing lingerie to your skin. Unlike body tape, however, adhesive gel won't crinkle the lingerie material beneath your clothing. Apply the gel after cleansing your skin of any oil, dirt or makeup. Put on your lingerie, lift up the material and roll the gel on the areas of your skin where you need adhesive assistance. Adhesive gel is water-soluble, so avoid any activities that cause heavy perspiration.

Check with stores that offer replica bathing suits, since many sellers may also carry replica lingerie. You can also look at your favorite clothing stores, as many are beginning to offer lingerie that looks designer without the high cost. Finally, you can check out any outlet malls in your area, where you may find replicas as well as the real thing mixed in.

Select a fabric and color you like. There is a wide range of options, so pick the weight that you think will work best for your lingerie skirt. If it is going to be short, buy fabric that is slightly heavier than that required for a full-length garment.

Buy, make or copy an A-line skirt pattern, as  Hot Sexy Lingerie fabric doesn't have enough weight for a straight or pleated skirt. Carefully pin the pattern to the fabric. Cut the lingerie fabric and leave half an inch for a seam allowance.

Pick either a drawstring or elastic. Either way, the lingerie skirt will drape over your body from the waist down.

If you are using elastic, enclose it or buy the type with a soft side so that the feeling is consistent with the soft fabric. To enclose the elastic, cut it to a size that will fit over your hips when you pull on the lingerie skirt. Stitch it to the fabric 1 inch from the top of the skirt. Make sure it is even and doesn't bunch up in any one area. Then sew the remaining fabric over the elastic so that it is enclosed.

If you are using a drawstring, cut it to a size that will fit over your hips when you pull on the lingerie skirt, with enough additional length left over to tie it around your waist. Fold the fabric at the top of the skirt over 1 inch, and sew it over the drawstring so that it is enclosed.

Sew the side seams to make your skirt. Hem the skirt by hand. Lingerie material is light, so hand-stitching the hem will leave you with a more professionally finished look.

Iron your lingerie skirt when finished to get out any creases. Use a low heat setting to make sure you don't damage the material.
